PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS - 2010 Season

    Musicians who wish to play in the Emporia Municipal Band and have not been on our regular roster previously should come and play at the (open to all) “audition” rehearsal on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 7:30 pm in the Instrumental Rehearsal Room of Beach Hall (ESU).

    Previous players are “seated” in the Band, but every year we have several open positions in most sections. After the “audition” rehearsal, open positions will be filled from among those who participated in the rehearsal. Candidates who do not win a permanent chair at this time will be placed on our substitute list, if they so choose. We use many substitutes during the summer, and the musicians on this list not only guarantee a full Band for concerts, but also get their foot in the door for future membership.
